Number Recognition
General Description
The InRay's Automatic Plate Number Recognition system provides an easy and efficient way to read the license plates of the cars from digital still image or video sequence. The system is available in an embedded and a PC version. The embedded version works on the DSP(s) of our colour megapixel cameras and the PC version works on a regular PC. There is also version as an add-on module for our RedLight Enforcement system.
Background
InRay's Automatic Plate Number Recognition system works on images - single shots or extracted from video sequence. There are several distinct OCR algorithms implemented that provide robust recognition results - more than 98%. There is an option to connect online to a back office system from where to verify the correctness of the recognition.
The system is capable of reading and recognizing plates in an image; it can also read any text message that is visible.
